Welcome

Bridger School provides a positive and caring learning environment where all children are valued for their unique abilities, talents and individual learning styles.

Bridger Neighborhood began its Spanish Immersion program in 2006-07 with a full-day kindergarten. Instruction is provided in Spanish for 90% of the day. All students are expected to be bilingual by the end of eighth grade.

All teachers encourage students to be independent thinkers, learners and problem solvers. They support the belief that students should be empowered to take responsibility for their own learning, as well as their social and emotional choices. Teachers use thematic units and project-based instruction. Instruction is aligned to the Oregon state standards with an emphasis on problem-solving skills and hands-on learning.

Bridger staff maintains connections between school and home providing a variety of opportunities for staff, students and parents to get together beyond the school day.
